We are delighted that our member, Santander, has been recognised at The Banker’s Innovation in Digital Banking Awards as the Most Innovative Bank in the world, following the Bank’s successful deployment of Gravity.

Gravity is Santander’s home-grown digital cloud-native core banking platform, which is being implemented worldwide to help the bank become a fully digital company, described as a “massive and ambitious project” by The Banker.

Santander notes that Gravity will enhance customer experience, whilst bringing significant efficiencies through cutting-edge end-to-end automation. The platform is unique in the banking industry and has cemented Santander as the first major bank in the world with an in-house software that digitalises core banking. This, in turn, allows Santander to serve customers better and more efficiently.
